The Na’ili’ili-haele Stream & Waterfall Hiking trail better known as the Bamboo Forest Hike is a great way to escape from it all.
Beginning of the trail begins in a bamboo forest. It is a bit steep in places and can be slippery and muddy depending on recent rainfall. Flash flooding can be an issue. This trail can be easy or as hard as you want I to be. The first couple of waterfalls are fairly easy to reach, but after that the trail becomes much more difficult, reaching the other waterfalls is rewarding for those who are adventurous.
You will need to use ladders and ropes the deeper you hike in.
Trailhead is located at mile marker 6.5 along the Road to Hana.
